Internships are an integral part of the study program at the Faculty of Economics of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences
The basic goals of the internship come down to:
– enabling the student to verify the knowledge he acquired during classes (practical use);
– obtaining economic and production information from an institution or business unit in order to analyze it during classes (after practice);
– acquiring the necessary (on the labor market) practical experience.
- Internships can be carried out in Poland and abroad. Domestic internships (depending on the field of study) can be carried out in: banks and para-banking institutions, production and commercial companies with full accounting, tax offices, insurance companies, central and local offices, brokerage offices, logistics companies, commercial farms.
- Internships abroad can be carried out in other EU countries, Norway, Switzerland and the USA. They can take place in all of the above-mentioned units.
- They indicate the institutions (enterprises) where the STUDENTS want to do internships. The deadline for submitting information about the place of internship is set by their Guardians.
- At the Faculty of Economics, there is an apprenticeship carried out during the second year of studies (on days off from didactic classes) or during the holiday period (after the fourth semester of studies). Exceptionally, in justified cases, with the consent of the Tutor, the internship may be carried out on a different date.
- Compulsory internships provided for in the study program may include work documented by an employment contract, commission or work in enterprises and institutions related to the field of study.
- Running your own business or participating in internships organized by labor offices can also be counted towards the obligatory internships, upon presentation of relevant documents.
