Tourism and Recreation
Studies in the field of Tourism and Recreation from the academic year 2012/2013 are carried out at the Faculty of Economics. It is an interdisciplinary field of study, concerning areas in the field of natural, social, agricultural and forestry sciences, enabling the familiarization with the problems of the functioning of enterprises on the market of tourist services, tourism in forest and environmentally valuable areas, as well as rural tourism, hotel and catering. Graduates have knowledge in the field of natural, social, forestry and agricultural sciences, are prepared to undertake activities in the field of tourism and recreation, prepare a tourist and recreational offer for various groups of recipients, establish contacts and communicate, run their own business
After graduation, they are prepared to work in travel agencies, hotels, recreation, sports and recreation centers, recreation centers, and agritourism farms; government and local government administration and social organizations.
Bachelor’s studies last three years. They are conducted in a stationary and part-time system. After completing the undergraduate studies, it is possible to undertake 2-year complementary master’s studies. Specialization classes are planned for each of them. Studies in the field of Tourism and Recreation are carried out both in the system of full-time and part-time studies:
1) three-year first-cycle studies (undergraduate);
2) two-year second-cycle studies (master’s);
Classes for part-time studies (in extramural mode – in the form of 8 meetings, held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).
