Our program is addressed to managers, business owners and people aspiring to higher management positions . Modern enterprises operate in highly competitive markets that are subject to globalization processes. At the same time, technological progress is taking place in the environment of companies. Skillful adaptation to changes and the ability to respond to emerging opportunities requires continuous improvement and development of human capital. The aim of the International MBA Program “Management in agribusiness” is the transfer of modern knowledge and skills management , with particular reference to food economy .
Teaching in action
We put emphasis on practice . At least half our time classes take the form of “teaching by doing” according to the Kolb cycle (see figure below) – case studies ( case studies ), management games, practical exercises and tasks, computer laboratories, Study week , Study trip . A large group of our lecturers (over 40%) are practitioners representing companies dealing in strategic and personnel consultancy, marketing, PR, as well as international corporations.
Agrobiznes / Food Economy
Poland is the sixth food producer in the European Union. The food economy in our country is responsible for 6% of GDP and our huge export success food in the enlarged EU confirms the competitiveness of Polish companies in the agribusiness sector. However, success and competitiveness are not given once and for all – they require constant efforts and continuous development, especially in the era of progressing globalization. Human capital is an important area of development. SGGW in Warsaw is the largest and oldest (over 200 years of tradition ) agricultural university in Poland. The economic department SGGW in Warsaw, where our studies are affiliated from 66 years old educates managerial and business staff who have contributed to the success of the Polish food economy. We are convinced that our offer is a guarantee of success for the staff of the Polish food economy with the highest development aspirations.
The international dimension
Our program has accreditation European consortium of agricultural universities ICA . 15% of classes is carried out in English by cooperating foreign lecturers.
