STUDY IN REMOTE MODE
The aim of the postgraduate studies “Environmental Management and Waste Management” is to prepare students for professional work in the field of environmental and waste management, as well as to raise the qualifications of people working in enterprises related to waste disposal, in companies dealing with outsourcing waste management services in local government administration and in research and development centers.
The aim of the postgraduate studies “Environmental Management and Waste Management” is to provide students with professional knowledge and practical skills in the field of:
- techniques for identifying environmental hazards,
- creating reports on the impact of economic activity on the environment (KOBIZE),
- methods of calculating fees for the use of the environment,
- national and EU regulations related to waste management,
- methods of producing and classifying waste,
- waste management methods,
- reorganization of processes from a linear model to a circular model,
- audits of the Environmental Management System according to the ISO 14001 standard,
- ways to improve waste management,
- preparation of documentation and reports on waste management,
- implementation of training in the field of environmental protection and waste management,
- obtaining financing for pro-environmental innovations,
- work in the position Eco-advisers,
- work in the position Advisors for Environmental protection,
- work in the position Advisors for Waste Management.
The studies will enable preparation for the practical, effective and efficient implementation of the challenges in the field of environmental management and waste management that they face modern enterprises , workplaces and municipalities . The assumption of the studies is that, based on the acquired knowledge, graduates will be able to help enterprises and municipalities to prepare for Polish and EU procedures regulating the area of waste management and to contribute to the growth of their competitiveness. Completing the studies will enable, among others managing waste in communes and enterprises, taking up a job Eco-advisers or conducting training in the field of environmental management and waste management. You will also receive the PN ISO 14001 Internal Environmental System Auditor Certificate.
Classes will be held remotely. We plan to organize one or two workshop meetings in the second semester, stationary.
Postgraduate studies in “Environmental Management and Waste Management” last two semesters and include 160 hours of classes (10 sessions).
Classes will be held on Saturdays from 8.00-16.00 and Sundays from 9.00-17.00, in remote mode. We plan to organize one or two workshop meetings in the second semester, stationary.
The studies are aimed at:
- people working or willing to take up employment in the field of environmental management and waste management in the near future,
- people wishing to obtain specialized, future-oriented professional qualifications,
- senior and middle management interested in expanding their knowledge and skills,
- people interested in the issues of environmental management and waste management,
- everyone interested in self-improvement and raising their own qualifications,
- graduates of all fields of study, interested in modern environmental management procedures and waste management, wishing to obtain
a new professional specialty.
Lectures will be conducted by specialists from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, invited lecturers from other universities and practitioners – employees of enterprises and state institutions dealing with environmental management and waste management.
