Objectives of establishing the studies
Expanding knowledge and acquiring specialist skills necessary to run a business or manage a company in the field of transport and forwarding, in relation to domestic and international passenger and goods transport.
Study addressees
Graduates of an undergraduate or engineering or undergraduate degree in any discipline. The addressees of the studies are in particular:
- persons running a business in the field of road transport of passengers and goods,
- management staff and employees of transport companies intending to obtain authorization to manage transport – “Certificate of Professional Competence”,
- employees of logistics units in the field of transport who want to supplement their practical experience with current knowledge,
- specialists for logistics who manage transport and distribution,
- people who want to work in positions related to transport and forwarding,
- people for whom transport and forwarding can become an interesting professional challenge,
- people interested in expanding their knowledge, self-improvement and improving their own qualifications.
Recruitment rules
Postgraduate students may be holders of a university degree (at least a bachelor’s or engineering degree).
The studies will last two semesters. Classes will start in the winter semester according to the organization of the academic year at the university.
Recruitment of candidates for studies is open and takes place on a first come first served basis and complete documents are submitted.

Skills acquired by graduates of postgraduate studies
Students will be acquainted with contemporary problems of transport and forwarding management in a company in terms of theory and practice. The relationship between transport and shipping will be presented, as well as comprehensively all the most important issues that enable the functioning and competitiveness of an enterprise (entrepreneur) in the industry. Students learn basic information about transport and forwarding, legal regulations necessary in running a business, transport economics, organization of transport markets, commodity science and packaging. They will also gain detailed knowledge of the organization of transport and forwarding as well as completing the documentation required for such activities.
Completion of postgraduate studies allows you to obtain a CERTIFICATE OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE IN ROAD TRANSPORT for the transport of passengers and goods without passing the written test and the practical part (pursuant to Article 38a of the Road Transport Act of September 26, 2001, uniform text: Journal of Laws of 2016 (Journal of Laws, item 1907, as amended).
The Certificate of Professional Competence is issued by the Motor Transport Institute in Warsaw. Detailed information on the certification of carriers can be found on the Institute’s website ( www.its.waw.pl ), tel. 22 43 85 215. The cost of issuing the certificate is PLN 300.
The “Transport and Forwarding” postgraduate study program includes all examination issues required for the theoretical and practical part of the exam necessary to obtain the Certificate of Professional Competence. Persons completing postgraduate studies after submitting a study program may apply for an exemption from the theoretical and task-related parts. Obtaining a postgraduate diploma allows you to obtain a Certificate without taking an exam .
Completion of the postgraduate studies “Transport and Forwarding” also allows you to document your qualifications in the field of customs services for business entities and thus provides the basis for applying for an ENTRY ON the CUSTOMS AGENTS LIST kept by the Director of the Customs Chamber in Warsaw.
Certificate and Exam
The condition for graduation is:
- crediting the subjects included in the study program,
- passing the semester exams on the material presented during the semesters with at least a satisfactory result,
- timely payment of the tuition fee.
After successfully passing the exams, participants will receive a certificate from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (the template is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of September 1, 2011 on professional titles awarded to graduates, conditions for issuing and necessary elements of graduation diplomas and postgraduate certificates) confirming completion of postgraduate studies .
Organization of studies
Postgraduate studies last two semesters and include 164 hours of classes.
Classes will be held on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 8: 30-16: 00 (1-2 times a month), in the buildings of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, at Nowoursynowska Street. (Look Campus map .).
The schedule will be communicated to participants at the beginning of each semester.
The organizer reserves the right not to start postgraduate studies in case of insufficient number of applications. In such a situation, recruitment participants will receive a refund of all paid tuition fees.
People from outside Warsaw for an additional fee, they can use the “Ikar” guest rooms at the Assistant Hotel of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

The rooms can be:
- Single room – we have 10 of them, the current price is PLN 155 / day
- Double rooms – there are 46 of them, the current price is PLN 200.00 / day / room
- If the segment is divided into a living room and a bedroom, it constitutes an apartment.
There are 3 apartments in the Ikar Guest Rooms for PLN 280.00 per night.
Each room has access to the Internet and a telephone. Single rooms and apartments additionally TV.
On the ground floor of our facility there is a bar called Dedal, which serves our guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. The use of the bar is not obligatory. Breakfasts are included in the price of the accommodation.
