Objectives of establishing Postgraduate Studies in Real Estate Management at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences

The rapid development of the real estate market in Poland in the last decade has forced a number of legal changes. At present, one can observe the transformations taking place on the emerging market of real estate management services and the growing interest in this field of science.

The aim of the studies is to develop knowledge and skills in the field of real estate management.

The studies make it possible to provide students with legal, economic and financial knowledge as well as the skills necessary to independently practice the profession of real estate manager. Graduates will learn the rules of organization of offices providing services in this area and the flow of required documents. The additional information will increase the skills necessary to work as a real estate manager with basic knowledge in the field of real estate brokerage and valuation. The studies allow you to gain knowledge in the field of management of various types of real estate, economics, legal regulations, construction basics, real estate management, and shape knowledge about processes and laws on the real estate market.

Students will gain knowledge in the field of technical condition analysis
and the financial condition of the property and the possibility of raising the standard of the property as part of the current operations of the manager. Basic knowledge of legal and construction issues as well as selected issues in the field of real estate valuation and brokerage will allow graduates to cooperate with other participants in the real estate market and the investment process. Understanding the principles of the real estate market as well as economic and financial issues will enable the assessment of the degree of risk and profitability of real estate investments.
A graduate of postgraduate studies will acquire theoretical and partly practical knowledge in the field of real estate management. Be able to recognize, diagnose and solve problems in the field of real estate management, as well as human, material, financial and information resources.

The graduate acquires knowledge that will enable him to work in institutions in the future
and companies dealing in real estate management consultancy, as well as to run their own business in this field.

Recipients

People with higher education with a master’s, engineer or bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) who, through the development of knowledge and skills in real estate management, want to improve their professional qualifications related to the broadly understood real estate market and its formal and legal services. The knowledge gained during the studies sets certain standards that allow for better management of entrusted real estate and affect the elimination of certain risks related to this market segment.

Recruitment rules
Students of postgraduate studies can be people with a first or second degree diploma (bachelor, engineer, master).
The studies will last two semesters. Recruitment of candidates for studies is open and takes place on a first come first served basis and complete documents are submitted.

Skills acquired by graduates of postgraduate studies

Students can acquire knowledge in the field of analyzing the technical condition and financial condition of real estate and the possibility of raising the standard of the real estate as part of the manager’s current activity. Basic knowledge of legal and construction issues as well as selected issues in the field of real estate valuation and brokerage will allow graduates to cooperate with other participants in the real estate market and the investment process. Certificate and Exam

The condition of graduation is passing the final exam. The Examination Committee draws the candidates who take the exam three questions from the pool of about one hundred questions available to students for self-study. Examination questions Students are given at the beginning of the second semester a few months before the exam. The study program does not provide for the preparation of a diploma thesis.

After successfully passing the final examination, participants will receive a certificate from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) (a model in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of September 12, 2018. on documents issued in connection with the course or completion of postgraduate studies and specialist education (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1791)) certifying completed postgraduate studies in real estate management.

Organization of studies

The studies will be conducted at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, ul. Nowoursynowska 166 Campus map .

The studies last two semesters. According to the schedule provided to participants at the beginning of each semester every two weeks (Saturday and Sunday).

The organizer reserves the right not to start postgraduate studies in case of insufficient number of applications. In such a situation, recruitment participants will receive a refund of all paid amounts together with the entry fee.
